Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Idaho Code §67-6512, in accordance with the notice and hearing provisions provided under section 67-6509, Idaho Code, and Lewis County Development Ordinance #97-2, that the Lewis County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lewis County Courthouse, 510 Oak Street, Nezperce, Idaho. Public comment is being sought on the following issues:

  • Conditional-use #2021-01 application for Weis Towers. They are requesting to build a 199' foot Telecommunications Tower on Parcel# RP34N02W213000 owned by Osburn Living Trust, Della Osburn Trustee. Approximately 3 miles NE of Winchester located above Lapwai Creek and Hwy 95 canyon. Access road is near where Craig Junction and Behler Road meet.

Situated in Lewis County, State of Idaho, to wit:

A tract of land, Section Twenty-one (21), Township Thirty-four North (34N), Range Two (2) West, Boise Meridian, SE ¼ NW¼ and E ½ W ½ NW ¼ Lewis, County Idaho

All site-specific land use requests are to be considered Quasi-Judicial.

All comments verbal and written are welcome. A copy of the application and other items being considered during the Public Hearings are available at the Lewis County Planning and Zoning Office at the Courthouse, 510 Oak Street, Room #7, Nezperce, Idaho. You can also email pzw@lewiscountyid.org or call 208-937-2380 to request a packet.

Written Testimony will be allowed if received by 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2021, in the Planning and Zoning Office. You can email your comments to pzw@lewiscountyid.org or mail comments to the Lewis County P & Z office 510 Oak St Rm 7 Nezperce, ID 83543. Length of oral testimony may be limited to three minutes for each person.

Anyone who would like to participate in the Public Hearing but does not want to appear in person can request a Zoom link from the P&Z office.
